What Is EFVS?
An Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) uses infrared cameras, advanced sensors, and synthetic vision to provide pilots with a clear, real-time view of the terrain and runway environment—even in conditions of poor visibility such as fog, rain, snow, or nighttime operations.
This enhanced imagery is projected onto a heads-up display (HUD) or a wearable Skylens™ display, enabling pilots to see what’s ahead without taking their eyes off the flight path.
