Miami, FL; March 12, 2009 – Industry veterans Nick Finazzo and Bob Nichols are ramping up operations for a new commercial aviation venture “AerSale”, which will focus on the mid-life current technology airliner aftermarket. “We will specialize in aircraft entering the second half of their life cycle,” said Nick Finazzo, a co-founder and the company’s CEO, “of which many are presently being transitioned from legacy carrier fleets into the secondary market.”

AerSale will initially focus on the acquisition of aircraft which range between 12 and 25 years of age that are either on lease or can be remarketed. AerSale’s strategy will be to offer its customers flexible aircraft lease and trade solutions, with the intent to eventually disassemble such aircraft for an economical source of engines and supply chain parts. Short term engine leasing will also be included as an intrinsic part of the company’s core business activities.

“We know how to extract maximum value out of older equipment,” said Bob Nichols, the company’s other co-founder and Chief Operating Officer. “We have spent our entire careers finding ways to squeeze every Dollar out of the aviation assets we have purchased. This has always enabled us win acquisitions by paying the highest price while in turn still providing our customers with a reliable source of quality equipment at the lowest possible price.”

Finazzo and Nichols, in conjunction with institutional equity partners, will provide equity capital to make acquisitions, together with senior debt from banks that have worked with them over many years. Their business plan calls for the acquisition of over a billion Dollars of aviation assets during the next 5 years.

Finazzo and Nichols were the co-founders and sole shareholders of Miami, Florida-based AeroTurbine, a leading provider of aftermarket aircraft engines and parts. AeroTurbine was acquired by Amsterdam-based AerCap in April of 2006.
